Who we are

A family-run alternative to care homes.

We're Diane and Rob, a family team, and we've been placing live-in carers across the South East for more than ten years. Diane is a retired mental health nurse and has been our registered manager since 2011. We have used our experience in visiting home care to provide the best Live-in service we can.

A live-in carer lives in your loved one’s home and helps with washing, dressing, meals and medication. They help them get about, keep them company, and they're there through the night. This takes away the added strain of caring for a loved one and gives families peace of mind that things are being handled at home.

Many of our carers drive

Most carers hold a licence and can be insured to drive your families car to appointments, the shops, or out for the day. If you need a carer with their own car, tell us early. We have fewer of those.

Pay as you go

You pay for the care you receive and nothing more. No long contracts. Whenever you stop your care the invoices stop as well.

Vetted by us, chosen by you

Every carer has a DBS check, references and the right to work in the UK, and is fully trained. Then you choose your carer from a shortlist. A rota is never decided for you.

Care can start within a day if it's urgent

Most families prefer to take a little longer so we can find the right carer and fit around their plans. Either way, we start with a free visit to your home.

Trained for medical needs

All of our carers are trained in dementia care, moving and handling, and medication.

You stay in touch

The Care Circle app sends you a daily update straight from your carer, so you know how the day has gone.

Dad came out of hospital far frailer than expected and we needed cover quickly. Nic had a carer in place within days, and the handover was seamless. Knowing someone is there overnight has taken an enormous weight off the whole family.

We cannot thank you enough for everything you did for our mum. Right from the start, Nicky from Lillyfields was so easy to work with. Just the right balance of informal and friendly yet at the same time very professional. Nicky very quickly understood our needs and most importantly mum's needs, and found us carers who could made us feel confident and in safe hands. I honestly don't think we could have managed to keep mum at home without the support of Lillyfields, and she managed to maintain a lot of independence, which is what she wanted. Everyone we came into contact with was very friendly, very experienced and helped guide us through mum's final months. I felt a huge weight off my shoulders once we had a live-in carer, and I would definitely recommend Lillyfields to anyone looking for live-in care for an elderly parent.

We have been using Lillyfields Live-in care for about 18 months. Lillyfields has provided a few different carers during this time to cover breaks for our regular carer. Of course, some carers have worked better than others, but all have been professional and kind, and most of all have been a friend to both mum and dad. They have provided a safe environment for my parents. This was to look after both my parents. My Dad passed away about 6 months ago after having struggled with dementia. And we still have the same carer looking after my Mum. It was important for my parents and for us that they stay in their own home for as long as possible. Lillyfields facilitated this and gave us peace of mind knowing that they are safe and looked after.

Lillyfields have provided an excellent service to my Mother. We have used large live-in care companies in the past, and it was quite refreshing to use a smaller company this time. Nic came out to meet us at the home before introducing some carers for us to choose from. And the carer we have has been great.

Lillyfields Live-In Care have provided excellent care for my elderly mother for the last few months, their appointed carer Tracey is kind, caring, reliable and attentive, in not the easiest of circumstances for her to manage. We children are all very appreciative. The back office administration is also handled well. I would highly recommend based on our experience.

We had a emergncy situation arise where we needed care at short notice for my mother. We contacted Lillyfields, and within 48 hours of our call my mother was out of hospital and receiving fulltime care. I can highly recommend them.

I highly recommend using this company. My mother received an excellent service that was cheaper than other similar companies.

Very thoughtful, kind carers who have been with my father in law for two years now. They provide home cooked food every day, with plenty of variety and patiently help with feeding and personal care. The manager has always been available even at weekends and emergency cover always provided despite challenging conditions sometimes. When circumstances are difficult, we have been able to talk through options.

We have received excellent service from Lillyfields. Our regular carer had to leave on short notice and Lillyfields filled the gap while she was away. I would recommend them if you are looking for full time care.

Excellent carers, really gone out of their way to help my mother. Great communication with office staff regarding extra care needed. Would highly recommend. Thank you Lillyfields.

I called Lillyfields 5pm on a Friday when our original carer went off sick and our previous care agency could not provide cover in time. Lillyfields managed to get a carer to my Mum's house by 10pm that night and one of their managers came to the house first thing Monday morning to set up the agreements and do an assessment. I highly recommend this service to anyone requiring 24 hour support.

We got in touch with Lillyfields for our son who has a brain injury, they helped us by getting an appropriate carer with relevant experience of the right age.

I am very happy with Lillyfields, I find them very professional and caring. I have used other companies in the past but find Lillyfields the best so far and as for the carer they sent me, well I don't think I could have ever found better!! Love her to bits!!!

Lillyfields Live-in Care found us Mum a carer to live in the house with her providing 24 hours care support. As a family we are very happy with the service from Lillyfields and from the carer living with mum.

What it costs

From £1,155 per week. And still under £1,350 when care needs get more complex.

Most live-in care prices climb steeply once dementia or high dependency care is involved. We make sure ours don’t. The exact figure depends on your relative's needs and we confirm it in writing after the free home visit. Our service is always pay as you go, so you only pay for the weeks you use.

Companionship and everyday help

£1,155a week

Someone who'd benefit from company, meals, medication prompts and a hand with washing and dressing.

Full dementia care and high dependency

£1,330a week

Advanced dementia, hoisting, night-time needs, palliative and end-of-life care.

Every package includes

  • A carer living in, seven days a week, on hand day and night
  • Home visit, matching, introductions and regular reviews
  • Cover when your carer takes a break, and a 24-hour line

On top

  • The carer's food, as a small weekly allowance
  • Fuel if the carer drives your relative about; bank holidays at 1.5x

A couple can usually share one carer, so two people at home costs far less than two care home places.

How that compares

Weekly cost for someone paying privately in the South East, 2026 published rates.

Everyday help
Lillyfields£1,155
Live-in providers who employ their carersfrom £1,600 to £1,675
Residential care home, South East£1,450 to £1,700

Around £20,000 a year less than an employed-carer service.

Full dementia care or high dependency
Lillyfields£1,330
Live-in providers who employ their carers£1,800 to £2,000+
Dementia or nursing home, South East£1,700 to £2,000+
Save £25,000 to £35,000 a year. On full dementia or high-dependency care, against a live-in provider that employs its carers. Same level of care, same hours, one-to-one.

Employed-carer rates are the 2026 published starting prices of the largest national live-in providers, with their own guidance for complex needs. Care home ranges are South East self-funder rates from carehome.co.uk, LaingBuisson and provider guides, 2026. All figures checked September 2026.

Why we're cheaper. Our carers are self-employed. We find them, check them and introduce them, plus our small fee so that most of what you pay goes to the person doing the care. It's why carers want to work with us, and why you'll have a large pool to choose of who looks after your loved one.

You'd get two or three profiles like these after the home visit, then choose who to meet.

Four steps to live-in care

  • 1
    A phone call with us

Call or ask for a callback and you'll speak to Nic or Diane, not a call centre. We'll ask what's going on, what help your relative needs and how soon.

  • 2
    A free assessment at home

One of us visits your relative at home, with family if they'd like. We agree what the carer will do and confirm the cost in writing. No charge, no obligation.

  • 3
    Profiles sent to you

Two or three carers who fit, with the checks already done. Nobody is allocated to you. If none feel right, we go again.

  • 4
    You choose, care starts

Pick who you'd like to meet, and if you're both happy, they move in on a date that suits you. Within a day if it's urgent. We stay in touch from there.
